Dovetail’s “Not to be Missed” List for HR Tech 2012

The HR Technology Conference & Exposition is fast approaching and we are pumped to be heading to the Windy City this year. With 15 years of dedication to helping organizations benefit from HR technology, it’s no wonder that the HR Technology Conference is one of the two must-attend HR conferences of the year. China Gorman, former COO of SHRM (the other conference) and CEO of CMG Group stated that the HR Technology Conference would be her first choice if she could only attend one. Our’s too!

With three days packed full of so many awesome sessions, activities and social events, it will be impossible to get to everything. You can’t really go wrong with any of it, but there are a few things that, in my opinion, should definitely make it onto your agenda:

  • Four Seasons Consolidates to one HR & Talent Management System: If you’re interested in Talent Management, this is one session you won’t want to miss. Mary Sullivan, SVP of Corporate HR for the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, which has 86 hotels in 35 countries and about 50 different HR systems will be in the final phases of consolidating them into one HRMS and Talent Management solution. Consolidating systems across so many different locations and countries is no small task, and Sullivan will be sharing the details about her process with this audience. The Four Seasons has been on Fortune’s “100 Best Places to Work” list for 15 years in a row and if you’ve ever worked or stayed at a Four Seasons, you know they usually get it right all the way around.

  • Bringing HR to the Cloud – Naomi’s Master Panel: SaaS expert Naomi Bloom has assembled an elite group of senior industry executives, who are ultimately in charge of making business and product decisions shaping the future of HR in the Cloud, together for the first time on stage to discuss their visions for HR Technology and how they will compete for your business in the marketplace. It should be a lively discussion with lots of different opinions. You do not want to miss this!

  • Awesome New Technologies for HR: Live demonstrations of a few of the most awesome new software and tools from every corner of HR. While this session doesn’t cover all the new tools and products, it does give you some vendors to keep on your short list.

  • The Expo: At HR Tech, the experience is just as much about the Expo as it is about the Conference itself. With 200 exhibiting companies and over 45 new product announcements, you can get a ton of new information and see new products before they’ve even been released. Plus, and perhaps even more importantly, it is a par-tay. Vendors will do ANYTHING to get your attention, which means you can pick up some good loot (Re: Dwane Lay Swag Video HR Tech 2011) and be entertained for hours even if you’re not that interested in the latest and greatest HR Technology.

  • Gritas & Games with Dovetail: As mentioned above, there will be 200 exhibiting companies in said Expo and one of them will be Yours Truly and this year, we came to play… games that is. Stop by Dovetail booth #659 for the “Gritas and Games” experience. We will be serving margaritas starting at noon and giving you the opportunity to compete for Gold in the first-ever HR 2012 Olympic Games on the Xbox Kinect 360, which will also be up for grabs. Stop by for a drink and a little game playing and if you want to talk HR Case Management or see our new release of Dovetail Support Suite for HR, well that can be arranged as well. If you’re going to experience the Expo, you might as well do it with a margarita in hand and after you’ve gotten your blood flowing playing virtual sports.

  • HR Tech 2012 Parties: After getting the party started with Dovetail, you have several options for continuing your evening of fun, and the super-social and “in the know” Jessica Miller-Merrell is creating the VIP Party List with all the 2012 HR Tech Parties listed. Click here to sign up to receive the list. It will be available in mid-September.

  • With a more than a thousand fellow HR professionals and influential leaders in HR, you’ll have all the resources at your fingertips to solve your problems and expand your perspective. Visit the HR Technology Conference & Expowebsite for the full agenda.

If you haven’t registered for the conference yet, there’s still time and Dovetail has arranged for you to receive a special discount.

  • As our guest you save $500.00 off the $1,795 conference registration rate — you attend for only $1,295 when you register by Sept. 24 with Promo Code DTS12 (all caps).

We are looking forward to meeting you in Chicago! If you would like to schedule a product demo or set up a time to meet at HR Tech, please email me to schedule. At the very least, stop by booth #659 and grab a margarita!
