Automating Mass Case Changes

October 16, 2015 Changes in Configuration We are sometimes asked about major changes in configuration, and how to adjust someone's environment to be what they are, not what they were.  It's not terribly difficult, since our system was designed for flexibility.  It's usually a matter of making changes in the List Editor, modifying some routing rules, and dropping the new system in place.  We recently were asked a much more challenging question, though, that inspired us to look outside our system for an answer. Mass Changes The question revolved around a mass change in Case Type for all cases, starting with the first one in the system.  Looking forward is easy, but the idea of a retroactive change was unique and original.  Fortunately, our Rules Engine is powerful enough to handle the request.  Our Engine allows for Rules to be written on ANY…

Customer Service and the HR Tech Buyer

September 11, 2015 Customer Service in Your Selection of Software Vendors I was reading Naomi Bloom’s blog post, “In Enterprise Software and Luxury Accommodations, Details Matter and No Disappointment Accepted” and it got me thinking. I find it funny that so many companies are putting HR projects out for an RFP without a clear goal in mind. I mean, essentially they all have the same goal overall, don’t they…to get the best solution at the lowest possible cost. But, shouldn’t there be a higher objective? Shouldn’t the goal be to determine how each vendor matches up against the unique requirements of your organization? Shouldn’t there be at least one SPECIFIC goal that means something to your company?  What are you REALLY trying to accomplish? Certainly it isn’t to create more work for your team especially since HR teams are leaner than ever.   I’m…
