Dovetail Welcomes Head of HR Process Design Dwane Lay
We are so excited to have Dwane Lay join us as Dovetail’s
newest executive team member and Head of HR Process Design. In his new role,
Dwane is responsible for analyzing, defining, documenting and communicating HR
processes and best practices to Dovetail’s HR product development team and the
HR community, as well as working with prospects and customers to analyze their
current environment and improve it with technology and process implementation.
Dwane’s past experience and expertise in HR are going to make
him a great asset to our team and our current and future customers, but I thought
I’d take a minute to list a few of the reasons why I’m particularly excited about
him coming on board:

Conference 2011 Swag Blog YouTube video, Dwane is quite the swag connoisseur.
I think the marketing team is going to get some great ideas from him. Life-sized
bobblehead dolls have already been discussed and as one of his blog commenters suggested,
free hugs are also in the running for our giveaway at the next event.
- He’s a leading social media contributor to
the HR community: It’s not easy to find the time to have a “real job” –
Dwane was the Director of HR for Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis MO –
and produce enough high-quality, original content to establish yourself as a
leading contributor on the HR social media landscape. Dwane spends his free
time producing insightful, interesting and useful content to support and

- We now have an in-house expert on HR processes
& best practices: As a marketer I am particularly excited about this
because we can now create more valuable content and more of it. In the past, my
team has worked with outside consultants and customers to bring the HR community
content on effectively using HR case management and improving their
organization using metrics and analytics. Now we have an in-house expert with
years of experience in HR and a background in IT and Operations, a perfect
marriage of experience for our subject matters. Add to that, he WANTS to share his
knowledge and is a seasoned writer and public speaker – pretty much a
marketer’s dream.
